Death by Gimlet

When her sister asks for help, Goldie’s imagination runs wild with the possibilities. Will she be planning a party? Thoughts of tempting food danced merrily in her head. Or perhaps it is assistance with a charity function? Goldie’s enthusiasm for such endeavors knows no bounds. Might there be a chance to involve ponies? She absolutely adores them!

Unfortunately, Goldie discovers that the type of help her sister truly needs might not be appreciated. Of course, that doesn’t mean that Goldie would turn her back on her family no matter how insistent they might be that the situation is hopeless. There’s also the matter of a murder. She’s certain the culprit can’t possibly be the most obvious one no matter how hard he tries to prove otherwise. And surely it isn’t possible to bore someone to death?

Her resolve to find the true killer never wavers even as her investigation forces Goldie to put a recent promise to special agent Zebulon Masterson to the test. Goldie drills down to the facts and learns more than she anticipated. Will it be enough to prove that some gimlets are far more exciting than believed upon first glance?
